Adult Spotted Lanternflies can easily be identified with their brown spotted wings and bright red second wings. During this life cycle, these insects will feed on trees and secret honeydew, a sugary substance, on the ground, buildings, and cars often resulting in mold growth.
The best method to eliminate these pests is to vacuum the bugs with a wet/dry shop vac with an inch of soapy water in the vacuum tank/receptacle.
